Sequel Planned For St Trinian's....Planning has begun for a film sequel to 2007's St Trinian'S after the comedy won over British audiences and surprised producers with huge box office success. The movie - a remake of 1954's The Belles Of St Trinian's - has grossed nearly $24 million (#12 million) in the U.K., making it the third most successful independent British film, behind Four Weddings And A Funeral and Trainspotting.Co-director Barnaby Thompson insists the film's success is a result of its appeal to teenage girls: "The film is essentially a girls' heist movie and how many times have you seen that before?"
