Cumberbatch Beams Aboard Star Trek Sequel

War Horse and Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch is to be transported from the past to the future after landing a leading role in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek sequel.

It has not been revealed what part the Brit will play or if his character in the much-anticipated sci-fi film is a hero or a villain, but Deadline.com reports he is definitely onboard.

The untitled Star Trek sequel, which will bring back Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Simon Pegg and Zachary Quinto, is set to hit cinemas next summer (13).

Horrible Bosses Set For Sequel

Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis are set to reunite for a follow-up to Horrible Bosses after the screenwriters agreed to pen a sequel, according to a U.S. report.

The movie, which centres on the trio's attempts to exact revenge on its mean employers, played by Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey, was a summer hit last year (11), grossing $209 million (£130.6 million) at the worldwide box office.

Now the movie's writers, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, have signed a deal to create a follow-up - and the male leads are expected to star in the sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
