Steven Soderbergh is looking for a new career

Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh is planning to "wind down" his movie making, because he needs a "career-change."

The Erin Brockovich director admits he's become disillusioned with the film industry and is weighing up his options, because he doesn't find big screen projects fulfilling any more.

The 46 year old, whose credits include Sex, Lies, and Videotape and Ocean's Eleven, has not ruled out returning after taking a break, but is seriously considering leaving Hollywood behind for good.

He tells British radio station BBC Radio 4, "I feel the need to recalibrate, just step away. (I'm) winding down, it's time for a change.
