Taraji P.Henson Jumped At Chance To Work With Hanks

Taraji P.Henson has revealed that she was so keen to work with Tom Hanks that she agreed to star in Larry Crowne before reading the script.

The Oscar nominated actress is back on the big screen this week in the Hanks directed movie.

Hanks was keen to get Henson involved in the movie and she was so keen to work alongside the double Academy Award winner that she agreed on the spot.

Speaking to The Huffington Post the actress said: "Apparently, Tom wanted me involved. So he called my manager and my manager called me and said, 'Tom Hanks really wants you to be in his movie', and I said, 'Sure'."

"And my manager was like, 'Maybe you should read the script first', and I was like, 'No, I don't have to read the script, it's Tom Hanks, that's a no brainer.

"I don't care, I could play a tree or a rock, it's Tom Hanks'."

Henson found huge success last year when she starred in The Karate Kid before going into Peep World and The Good Doctor.

She has already completed work on From The Rough and she has been linked to Think Like A Man.
