The Avengers Banners

The Avengers looks set to be one of the biggest movies of summer 2012 - and I have to admit that I am already very excited for this release.

The movie sees Josh Whedon in the director's chair as he brings together an all star cast.

Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth are to reprise their roles of Captain America, Iron Man and Thor while we will get a look at The Hulk and Hawkeye, played by Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner.

They are also joined on the cast by Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hiddleston.

When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

The Avengers is released 27th April 2012.
