The Final Destination

The Final Destination remained the number one movie in at the American box office despite tough competition from All About Steve this weekend.

After toppling Inglourious Basterds last week the fourth movie in the franchise has made it a second week at the top.

And this summer has been a huge success for Sandra Bullock as she enjoys her second box office success with All About Steve.

Hot off the heels of The Proposal her new film opened at number two grossing $11.2 million. Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds fell just one place to number three.

There was a new entry at number three as Gerard Butler returns to the big screen with action movie Gamer. Peter Jackson's District 9 rounded off the top five falling one place.

There was just one more new entry this week in the form of Extract, which opened at number ten.
