Filming on the set of The Tourist had to be halted after hordes of fans turned up eager to catch a glimpse of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp.
The actors began production on the thriller in Venice, a remake of 2005 French film Anthony Zimmer, in Paris, France in February (10) before moving to Venice earlier this month (Mar10) to continue shooting.
But according to TMZ.com, cameras had to stop rolling on Wednesday after huge crowds of devotees showed up at the location, forcing producers to wrap early due to safety concerns.
The movie follows an American tourist (Depp) who is used by a woman (Jolie) to flush a criminal she had an affair with out of hiding.
Earlier this week Paul Bettany and Rufus Sewell have joined the cast for the movie which began filming on March 1st.
The Tourist is expected to be released in February of next year.
