After This Is It topped the box office in both America and the UK the Michael Jackson documentary is the number one movie in Australia.

The film look at the late star as he prepared for his string of shows at the O2 in London, including rehearsal footage.

Last week's number one Couples Retreat fell two places to three while Mao's LAst Dancer held on the number two spot.

The second new entry was in at four in the form of Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

The movie is the last time that we will see late star Heath Ledger on the big screen after he died during the filming of the movie in 2008.

Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law all stepped in to complete the movie. The Final Destination dropped two places to five.

The Box was the only other new entry inside the top ten at eight. Starring Cameron Diaz and James Marsden the movie centres around a small wooden box arrives on the doorstep of a married couple, who know that opening it will grant them a million dollars and kill someone they don't know.

Saw VI, Astro Boy and All About Steve dropped to seven. nine and ten.
