Rocky Horror remake

'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' is being remade by MTV.The new film will use the original screenplay, written by former 'Crystal Maze' host Richard O'Brien and Australian theater director Jim Sharman, but will also feature a collection of news songs.No casting decisions are yet to be made but the film is expected to be released sometime during October 2009.

The original 1975 comedy musical starred Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a cross-dressing mad scientist who seduces an unwitting young couple after they break down near his creepy home.It featured a host of popular hits including 'The Time Warp' and 'Sweep Transvestite'.
