Things keep going from bad to worse on the set of Tom Cruise's World War II film Valkyrie as a major scene at a memorial in Berlin will have to be reshot due to damaged footage. The scene was damaged by a chemical mishap at a processing plant in Germany, where the film is being shot, although the re-shoot is not expected to effect the schedule or the budget. This is the latest set back as just weeks ago eleven extras were injured after they fell from a truck during filming. The film, which tells of a plot to assassinate Hitler by a group of Nazi officers, was originally banned from shooting at memorial or military sites because of Cruise's Scientology beliefs. But this decision was overturned allowing the film to shoot at the World War II memorial site in the country's capital.Crusie plays Claus von Stauffenberg who was executed for his role in the planned assassination.Helen Earnshaw
