Tom Felton has revealed that he would love to tackle lots of different roles and doesn't want to be typecast.
The British actor said goodbye to the role of Draco Malfoy, a part he has played for a decade, this summer with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, a movie that went on to gross in excess of $1billion.
And now Felton is ready to take on new acting challenges and wants to been seen more than just the Harry Potter actor.
Speaking to The Huffington Post the actor said: "It's a mixed bag, because it gets you through the door to meet people, but they're often skeptical and don't believe you can do anything else.
"It's great when you do get to do something else, because then they have to rethink their preconceptions.
"I was nervous about what was going to come next, and then things started happening, like [Rise of the] Planet of the Apes."
The actor stars alongside James Franco, Brian Cox and Andy Serkis in the movie The Rise of the Planet of the Apes, which has given Felton his second #1 movie of the summer.
And he has plenty of projects on the horizon; he has already completed work on From The Rough and The Apparition and is set to appear in Grace and Danger and Evac.
The Rise of the Planet of the Apes is out now.
