Tom Hiddleston says he has no idea if he will be returning for Avengers 2.
The British actor reprised the role of Loki this summer to play the baddie in Avengers Assemble - which went on to be the biggest grossing movie of the year.
And while the sequel is in the pipeline he says he has not spoken to Joss to see if he will be back.
Speaking to MSN the actor said: "I don't know. And that really is the honest answer. I know I've been known for obfuscation in other quarters, but I have no idea.
"I haven't spoken to Joss. He's definitely doing it. So I suspect not, only because I think that probably the audiences are tired of Loki being the bad guy.
"Maybe the Avengers need somebody else to fight. But I'd love to be part of it again."
But we will be seeing Hiddleston return to that role next year as he is currently filming Thor: The Dark World.
This is the second standalone Thor movie and it will see Hiddleston reunite with Chris Hemsworth and Anthony Hopkins.
