Up's Five Week Aussie Reign

Up's dominance continued at the Australian box office as it spends it's fifth week at the top spot.

The movie grossed a further $3.7 million to comfortably take that number one spot, the movie has now grossed $523 million at the global box office and is released in the UK this week.

There was a new entry at two in the form of Mao's Last Dancer. The movie is a drama based on the autobiography by Li Cunxin. At the age of 11, Li was plucked from a poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to study ballet.

G-Force moved up one place this weeks from four to three while Surrogates dropped one place to four.

Fame is this week's biggest faller as it drops three places to round off the top five.There was only one other new entry inside the top ten and that was Julie & Julia.

The film, which was a success at the U.S. box office, is already surrounded in Oscar whispers because of Meryl Streep's central performance.
