British hardman Vinnie Jones is getting animated as a new comic book superspy - in the hopes of landing himself a TV series.

The Snatch star has been immortalised as Jake Noble, a James Bond-style secret agent featured in a new comic book series by Wolverine animator Howard Chaykin.

The graphic novel, which is slated for released later this year (10), is also being developed for a planned TV series for Jones to star in.

I never really thought of TV before as a medium for me

The programme is expected to be offered to both U.K. and North American networks, according to Britain's The Times.

And Jones admits he fell in love with the idea of playing a hero: "I never really thought of TV before as a medium for me. However, with it becoming such a source of creativity these days, and this project with its modern Bond style and feeling to it, I couldn't resist."
