Zac Efron and Brittany Snow To Reunite

Zac Efron and Brittany Snow are set to reteam for a remake of cheesy surf movie Gidget, according to new industry reports.

Miley Cyrus is on board as waverider Gidget in the project, with Efron slated to play her love interest, according to MovieHole.net.

The pair starred together back in 2007 when they both appeared in the hit musical Hairspray, which also starred John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Hairspray was Efron's first big role outside of High School Musical and he has since become one of the hottest ypung actors currently working in Hollywood.

2009 has already been a successful year for Efron as he left the musical behind him to tackle comedy in 17 Again.

Starring alongside Matthew Perry the film was a huge hit claiming the #1 spot at the American box office.

Sandra Dee originated the role of Gidget in Paul Wendkos’s 1959 original and Sally Field took over the role of Gidget in a short-lived TV series.
