Aaron Eckhart says he is looking for strong directors who don't take any crap.

Eckhart has some of the biggest directors in Hollywood during his career such as Christopher Nolan and Steven Soderbergh. More recently he says he enjoyed working with Antoine Fuqua.

Speaking to Empire magazine, Eckhart said: "I look for directors who can beat me up, that don't take any of my c**p.

"A great example of that is Antoine Fuqua in 'Olympus Has Fallen'. I like strong directors who know how to tell a story."

Eckhart is back on the big screen later this month with I, Frankenstein: a big screen adaptation of the graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux.

I, Frankenstein sees Eckhart team up with director Stuart Beattie for the first time. This is Beattie's second movie after making his debut with Tomorrow, When the War Began.

Eckhart has also completed work on Incarnate and is set to reprise the role of Benjamin Asher in London Has Fallen.

The movie is a sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and will see Eckhart reunite with Gerard Butler. However, Fuqua will not be returning to the director's chair.

I, Frankenstein is released 29th January.
