Allison Janney want more scripts that are aimed at actresses.
The actress joined the all woman cast of The Help last year, a movie that enjoyed a box office success of over $100 million in the U.S. alone.
Off the back of this and the likes of Bridesmaids Janney believes that we need more writers penning these kinds of stories.
Speaking to The Press Association the actress said: "I think we need to say this to more writers, actually, because these were both really great scripts so I think it's more about great writing."
"We need writers to write more for all ages, especially women over 40 because they're powerful and they've got a lot to say."
Janney returns to comedy with her next project A Thousand Words - which sees her team up with Eddie Murphy.
She has also completed work on Light Years and Struck By Lightning.
