Directed by Albert Hughes, with Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson leading the cast, comes an epic new adventure set in the last Ice Age, Alpha. This week, a fantastic new trailer and poster have been released for the film, both of which you can check out below:

Falling back 20,000 years into the past, we’ll catch up with a young man who goes out on his first tribal hunt, but who is injured and left for dead. Waking up, alone and broken, he’s forced to quickly adapt to the unforgiving wilderness that surrounds him.

When he comes across a lone wolf, abandoned by its pack, he’s reluctant to tame the creature he’s only ever known as a savage. Before long however, the two form an unbreakable bond and become allies, going up against some of the most dangerous odds they’ve ever faced in a bid to find their way home before the deadly winter comes around.

Natassia Malthe Leonor Varela, Mercedes de la Zerda, Jens Hultén and Marcin Kowalczyk all also star, with director Hughes working on a screenplay from Dan Wiedenhaupt.

Alpha hits cinemas across the UK on March 9, 2018.
