Jolie and husband Brad Pitt's kids Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, nine, and seven-year-old Knox lent their voices to characters Yoo, Meng Meng, Shuai Shuai and Ku Ku respectively in the animated movie, but the Hollywood star had to improvise to help them chuckle on cue during filming.

Speaking at the London premiere of the movie yesterday (06.03.16), co-director Alessandro Carloni told BANG Showbiz: "Angelina had to tickle her kids to make them laugh in the scene.

"You expect Angelina's kids to come and be professional actors, but they're not, they're charming and adorable little kids and she had to tickle them to make them laugh."

Co-director Jennifer Yuh Nelson added: "There's a little baby panda who climbs all over Po when Po meets them for the first time, those are Angelina's kids."

Angelina - who stars as Tigress in the movie - admitted her kids now think her job is "so easy" after witnessing the star lending her voice to the film.

Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', she said: "I think it backfired a little because I did say, 'OK, you're going to come to mummy's work.'

"They see me on set every day doing things and directing but this was a moment of seeing me act - you're going to do some lines, you're going to act. They all went in, they took it very seriously and then in the car, they were like, 'That's what you do? It's so easy.' "

Jack Black reprised his role as Po, the main panda character, in the movie, which also stars Jackie Chan (Monkey) and Kate Hudson (Mei Mei).

It's not the first time Brad and Angelina's children have starred in a film - their seven-year-old daughter Vivienne appeared as Princess Aurora opposite her mother in 2014 dark fantasy movie 'Maleficent'.

'Kung Fu Panda 3' is set to hit cinemas on Friday (11.03.16).
