James Wan, the master of horror returns with Annabelle: Creation, alongside Lights Out director David F. Sandberg to introduce audiences to the creepiest doll in history; Annabelle. Showing fans just how she was first brought to life, the film serves as an origin story of sorts, allowing a glimpse into the life of a possessed creation that has sparked fear in the hearts of millions across the globe. This week, a new trailer and poster for the film have been released, which you can check out below:

Taking place several years after the tragic death of a young girl, a nun and several youngsters from a shuttered orphanage are welcomed into the home of a dollmaker and his wife, but they soon become the target of his possessed doll, Annabelle.

Gary Dauberman wrote the screenplay for the film, with Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto making up the all-star cast.

Toby Emmerich, Richard Brener, Walter Hamada, Dave Neustadter and Hans Ritter serve as executive producers on the horror flick.

Annabelle: Creation hits cinemas across the UK on August 11.
