The Russo brothers are back in the director's chair this week with Captain America: Civil War - which has hit big screens this morning in the UK - and it is set to be the biggest Marvel film yet.

The movie comes after the success of Deadpool earlier this year, as Ryan Reynolds starred in a first solo movie for the character. While Deadpool is a Marvel creation, it is a film that has not been brought to the big screen by the studio.

However, Anthony and Joe Russo revealed during a Q&A with Screen Junkies that they would love to see this popular character involved in the MCU.

Joe said: "[Deadpool ?director] Tim Miller is a very good friend of ours. We'd love to see Deadpool jump into the MCU. But that's probably all I have to say about that."

Anthony continued: "Yeah, yeah. The great thing about Marvel is that there is an attitude of nothing's impossible... But that doesn't mean everything is possible, you just have to chase it."

Marvel managed to thrash out a deal with Sony for Spider-Man to make an appearance in Civil War as well as star in a new solo film. So, in theory, a similar deal could be struck to bring Deadpool into the fold in the future. I don't know about you, but I think that that is an exciting prospect.

As for the Russo brothers, they are going to be taking over directing duties from Joss Whedon for the next Avengers movie and will helm both Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2. Filming is believed to be getting underway later this year for the 2018 and 2019 release.

Civil War is the first time that we have seen the duo in the director's chair since the success of Captain America: The Winter Solider two years ago. Civil War is going to be one of the biggest films of the year and could be the first Captain America movie to gross over $1 billion.

So far, Avengers Assemble, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Iron Man 3 have all grossed over $1 billion at the global box office by the end of their theatrical run. Can Civil War join them? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.

Captain America: Civil War is out now.
