FilmClub At The Baftas

BAFTA-nominated stars George Clooney, Kenneth Branagh, Jim Broadbent and Adam Deacon all lined up to talk to education charity FILMCLUB about their nominations at the 2012 Orange British Academy Film Awards.

The actors, thrilled to see junior reporters on the red-carpet, chatted to two of the charity’s Young Ambassadors - 14-year-old Harry and 16-year-old Shaguftah - at London’s Royal Opera House, in association with BAFTA.

Clooney took time out to put the youngsters at ease before their interviewing telling them; 'Don’t be nervous - relax, take a deep breath and fire away!' before chatting to the duo about his experience of working in the film industry; 'Making films in general are always a little bit of a challenge but it’s still making movies and that’s fun.'

BAFTA Rising Star Winner Adam Deacon (Anuvahood) told the youngsters how lucky he felt to work in the film industry; 'You get to play people that you wouldn’t - you get to do get away with things that you wouldn’t necessarily get away with in real life.

'I get to play some mad characters and not get in trouble for it as well! It’s just fun.  Everyday that I’m on a film set I feel very blessed.'

Shaguftah commented on her experience; 'Reporting from the 2012 Orange BAFTA Awards was the best thing I have ever done. I was very nervous but soon I really got into it.

'Everything about the night was just brilliant.' And Harry said; 'At first, I was really nervous, but I got the hang of it and in the end, I wanted to do more. Time just flew by!'
