Based on the best-selling crime novel of the same name by Jo Nesbø, The Snowman comes to UK cinemas later this week and features an all-star cast including Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, Toby Jones, J.K. Simmons, Chloë Sevigny and Sofia Helin, with Tomas Alfredson serving as director. You can now go behind-the-scenes of the movie with a brilliant video released this week, which you can see below:
Fassbender stars in the film as Harry Hole; an elite crime squad’s lead detective who’s investigating the disappearance of somebody on the first snow of winter. Realising that the disappearance bears similarities to that of an unsolved serial killer case, he fears that the villain may be back at work and claiming more lives.
Fortunately for Hole, he’s not on his own as a brand new recruit (Ferguson) jumps on board to help him connect decades-old cold cases to the brutally-violent new ones. Whether or not they’ll be able to figure out who’s behind the ‘Snowman’ name before the next snowfall however remains to be seen…
Check out the chilling final trailer for the movie below:
A Working Title Films production in association with Another Park Film, The Snowman is executive produced by author Nesbø alongside Niclas Salomonsson, Martin Scorsese, Liza Chasin, Amelia Granger and Tomas Alfredson.

Shot entirely on location in Norway in the cities of Osla and Bergen as well as the area of Rjukan, the film is sure to be a gorgeous thing to witness when it does finally hit the big screen.
The Snowman comes to UK cinemas on Friday, October 13.
