Starring Scott Adkins, Dylan O’Brien, Michael Keaton, Sanaa Lathan and David Suchet, American Assassin is the brand new flick from director Michael Cuesta that follows the rise of CIA black ops recruit Mitch Rapp (O’Brien). Working under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley (Keaton), the two are eventually enlisted to investigate what are apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets by CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Lathan). When they get to work however, they discover a pattern in the violence which leads them into a joint mission with a lethal Turkish agent (Negar), before discovering they have to take down a mysterious man (Kitsch) who’s intent on starting a World War within the Middle East.

Certificate 18, American Assassin won’t be a film for everybody, but there are certainly some big expectations surrounding the movie. Hopefully, the brilliant-sounding plot will pay off and look brilliant when it makes its way to the big screen.
