Ben Stiller has revealed that the Zoolander 2 film is currently 'on hold'.
There has been a lot of talk about a Zoolander sequel this year, and it looked like the project was finally up and running.
However, Stiller isn't completely happy with the script and wants to make it more up to date.
Speaking to ShortList magazine the actor said: "Right now, it's on hold. There's a script we like, but I don't want to force it, because people who love that movie really love it, so I want to make sure we do the sequel the right way.
"Mike Myers did it well with the 'Austin Powers' movies - they were all funny and very 'of their time'.
"And 'Zoolander' is 'of its time', too, so it's about how we could bring it up to date to the present day."
Zoolander 2 would see Stiller return to the role of model Derek Zoolander, for the first time since the success of the first film back in 2001.
While Zoolander 2 is on hold, Stiller will be back on the big screen on Boxing Day with The Secret Life of Walter Mitty; a movie that sees him return to the director's chair as well as star.
He is also working on Night at the museum 3: Brother From Another Mother - Shawn Levy is also back to direct.
