Bradley Cooper is one of the most in demand and popular actors right now and he is set to return to the big screen this October with his new drama Burnt.

Burnt sees Cooper team up with director John Wells for the first time, while Steven Knight has penned the screenplay for the film. This is Wells' first movie since the success of August: Osage County at the beginning of 2014.

Knight has penned some cracking character driven screenplays in the last few years - Locke and Eastern Promises being two that really stand out - and it is always exciting when he is aboard a film project.

Cooper takes on the central role of Adam Jones, a chef who is trying to rebuild his career after throwing away his early promise. It looks set to be another dramatic and riveting performance from Cooper and you can see him in action in this great first trailer for the film:

Autumn 2015 is going to be packed with movies that boasts terrific ensemble casts and Burnt really does have one of the most impressive line-ups. Cooper is joined on the cast list by Alicia Vikander, Lily James, Uma Thurman, Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Daniel Bruhl, Omar Sy, and Matthew Rhys.

Adam Jones (Cooper) was a Michelin starred chef riding high at the top of the Paris restaurant scene, until his dangerous lifestyle caught up with him and he lost it all. With most of his rivals thinking he's dead, Adam heads to London with a plan to explode back onto the restaurant scene.

Cooper is another favourite of ours here at FemaleFirst and he has given some truly wonderful performances over the last couple of years that have seen him bag a series of Oscar nominees.

UK audiences haven't seen him on the big screen since the success of American Sniper at the beginning of the year, however, Aloha will be released before we see Burnt hit the big screen.

Burnt is released 16th October.
