David Ayer returns to the Director’s Chair following his work on Suicide Squad with Bright; an exciting new Netflix original movie set in an alternate present day where humans, orcs, fairies and elves have all been living in harmony since the beginning of time.

Following two cops from hugely different backgrounds, viewers will be introduced to the human cop Ward (Will Smith) and orc cop, Jakoby (Joel Edgerton), as the pair embark on a routine night patrol that’s set to change not only their future, but the future of their world as they know it.

Fighting against their own personal differences as well as antagonists that want to take them down, the pair are tasked with protecting a young female elf (Lucy Fry) and a relic that was long forgotten, but which could destroy everything if in the wrong hands.

Noomi Rapace also stars in the flick, though much of her role and the details surrounding it are still being kept under wraps. Max Landis penned the screenplay with rewriting from Ayer, while filming finished earlier this month on February 4.

Bright is expected to debut on Netflix in December, 2017.
