Avengers Age of Ultron

We have already been treated to Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor, Black Widow, and Nick Fury character posters for Avengers: Age of Ultron, and now it is the turn of Chris Evans and Captain America to take centre stage.

Evans is back as Steve Rodgers for the first time since the huge success of Captain America: The Winter Solider last year, in what will be the second Avengers film to hit the big screen. I don't know about you, but Age of Ultron is THE movie that I cannot wait to see this year and it looks like it is going to be bigger, better, and darker than the first.

Joss Whedon is back on the director's chair for the highly anticipated film, which looks like it is going to set up the storyline for Captain America: Civil War, which will be the third solo film for the character next year.

While there are plenty of familiar faces on the cast list, there are a handful of new stars on board as James Spader, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Traylor-Johnson, Paul Bettany, and Andy Serkis have landed the roles of Ultron, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, The Vision, and Ulysses Klaw.

We were briefly introduced to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver in the extra scene at the end of The Winter Solider last year, and I can't wait to see these two mutant characters explored further in this film and hopefully beyond.

When Tony Stark jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as they battle to save the planet from destruction at the hands of the villainous Ultron.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is released 23rd April.
