Evans is set to reprise the role of Captain America for the third solo movie for this popular character - which is due to start filming any day now. However, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, and Chadwick Boseman are just some of the names that are going to see on a very busy cast list.

When asked by MTV News if Civil War would feel like a Captain America movie of another Avengers style film, the actor hinted at what Civil War would deliver in terms of story.

Evans said: "They do, they have a lot of people in it... but, it's to jump off into the next Avengers, 'The Avengers: Infinity War.' So 'Cap 3' is going to be the setup of the real battle. So yeah, there are a lot of people in 'Cap 3'."

Civil War will see Anthony and Joe Russo return to the director's chair after the huge success they enjoyed with Captain America: The Winter Solider last year.

And it will be the Russo brothers that go forward to director both part 1 and part 2 of the already highly anticipated Infinity War. Filming on Infinity War will get underway next year and the two movies will be shot back to back and over a nine month period.

However, it is unclear at the moment which characters we are going to see make an appearance in Infinity War - it looks like it is going to be a mix of some of the original favourites and those that are going to be introduced over the next couple of years.

As for Evans, he is currently enjoying huge box office success with Avengers: Age of Ultron, which has topped both the U.S. and UK box office and grossed over $630 million worldwide so far.

This comes a year after The Winter Soldier enjoyed both critical and commercial success - winning over critics and fans and taking over $714 million at the global box office. The Winter Solider is currently the fourth highest grossing Marvel film - behind Avengers Assemble, Iron Man 3, and Guardians of the Galaxy - but looks set to be surpassed by Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The excitement around the release of Civil War is already growing and it is set to be one of the biggest blockbusters and superhero movies of 2016.

Captain America: Civil War is released 29th April 2016.
