Whiplash

Whiplash

Whiplash is a movie that has been causing a storm on the festival circuit all year, and we have seen more of the same in the last week as the movie played at the BFI London Film Festival.

Ever since Whiplash played at the Sundance Film Festival at the beginning of the year, it has been movie that just about everyone is talking and raving about.

Whiplash marks the return of Miles Teller to the big screen as he continues his acting rise - this could be the movie that really does establish him as a major acting talent.

A brand new trailer for the film has been released and we have it for you to take a look at - it really does promise to be a great watch:

We have already seen Teller in the likes of That Awkward Moment and Divergent this year, and with Insurgent and The Fantastic Four also set for release next year, it looks like 2015 is set to be another great year for the actor.

Whiplash sees Teller team up with J.K Simmons, Paul Reiser, and Melissa Benoist, while Damien Chazelle is in the director’s chair and has penned the screenplay.

This is the second feature film directing project for Chazelle and the first since he made his debut with Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench. Whiplash is back on his short film of the same name, which has been adapted into a feature project.

Whiplash follows a young musician as he struggles to make it as a jazz drummer. Things are made even worse when he is faced with a bullying bandmaster.

Whiplash is a movie that is currently surrounded in acclaim and is set to be one of the early ‘must see’ movies of next year.

Whiplash is released 16th January 2015.
