Wonder Woman is already one of the most talked about movies and we are going to have to wait over a year before it hits the big screen.

Wonder Woman

We have been introduced to Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman this week in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and now she is set to lead her first solo film... and a new image from that film has been unveiled.

The picture sees Gadot take centre stage and she is joined by Elena Anaya, Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright. I am not really the biggest fan of this comic book character but I am looking forward to seeing in which direction Gadot takes this role.

While Gadot is no stranger to the blockbuster, with the Fast & Furious franchise under her belt, this is the biggest role of her career and Wonder Woman looks set to send her star rocketing.

Wonder Woman sees Patty Jenkins back in the director's chair for what will be her first feature film since the success of Monster back in 2003. Jenkins has been working in television but it is good to see her back and working in feature film.

Chris Pine, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui and Lucy Davis.

Wonder Woman is released in 2017.
