Chris Evans is 'excited' that his directorial debut Before We Go has been picked up by RADiUS.

Before We Go received its World Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last week, and RADiUS have now acquired the U.S. rights to the film.

This is a second collaboration between Evans and RADiUS, after the company worked on Snowpiercer. And the actor is thrilled to be working with the company once again.

In statement, the actor said: "As a first time director, I'm so excited that we found a home with RADiUS.

"I was really impressed with what they did on Snowpiercer and my film couldn't be in better hands."

Evans stars in the movie as well as being in the director's chair, while Alice Eve is also on board the comedy.

Evans revealed earlier this year that directing is the area that he is keen to focus on over the next few years.

The movie follows a young woman who is stranded in New York overnight after missing the last train to Boston. Here she meets a stranger who tries to help her.

2014 has already been a great year for Evans, with Captain America: The Winter Soldier being one of the most successful films of the year.

He has will be back as Captain America next year in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and has completed work on A Many Splintered Thing.

There is no UK release date for Before We Go at the moment.
