Chris Hemsworth has revealed that director Alan Taylor encouraged him and Tom Hiddleston to workshop Thor & Loki scenes to get the best out of that relationship.

Hemsworth and Hiddleston are back as brothers Thor and Loki in Thor: The Dark World; the third movie that they have done together.

And Taylor used the familiarity between the two actors to really work on and develop one of the key relationships in the film.

Speaking to Empire the actor said: "We pulled that relationship apart, I think. More than on anything that I have ever worked on, and it was for the best, I think.

"I think where we got to was the best version of it. It’s just a matter of me and Tom throwing lines around and then talking about how we react with out siblings and try to infuse some of that."

Thor: The Dark World will be the first time that we have seen Hemsworth take on the title character since the success of Avengers Assemble last summer.

Taylor has taken over the director's chair from Kenneth Branagh and he revealed that week that there is going to be a more historic look and feel to the new film.

Thor: The Dark World is released 30th October.
