Chris Pine has landed a role in thriller The Line.
The Line will see Pine team up with David Gordon Green, as he returns to the director's chair.
The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that Pine is the first actor to be attached to the project, and he will take on the central role.
The Line will see Pine play a man who finds himself on the run with a ten year old boy who is orphaned after a shootout.
Sang Kyu Kim has penned the screenplay for the film, while Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh will produce.
Pine returned to the big screen last week with is new film Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit - a film which saw him become the latest actor to play the famous literary hero.
Pine has also completed work on Stretch and Into The Woods. He is currently filming Horrible Bosses 2, where he is one of the new faces on the cast list.
