Spectre is already one of the most talked about movies of the year and there are still a few weeks to go until the movie hits the big screen. But a brand new poster has been released to whet your appetite.

Spectre

The artwork sees Daniel Craig take centre stage as he is set to reprise the role of James Bond for his fourth film. Spectre comes three years after the billion dollar success of Skyfall and almost a decade since Craig played 007 for the first time - hard to believe that Casino Royale was released back in 2006.

Spectre will see Craig reunite with Oscar winning filmmaker Sam Mendes as he returns for his second consecutive Bond film. Mendes steered Skyfall to both critical and commercial success and I cannot wait to see him at the helm once again - what is he going to deliver this time around?

Mendes has assembled a fantastic cast as Monica Bellucci, Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, and Dave Bautista are some of the great new names who are joining the franchise for the first time. However, there are some familiar faces to watch out for as Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris are back as M, Q, and Eve Moneypenny.

A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond (Craig) on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as Spectre.

Meanwhile back in London, Max Denbigh (Scott), the new head of the Centre for National Security, questions Bond's actions and challenges the relevance of MI6, led by M (Fiennes). Bond covertly enlists Moneypenny (Harris) and Q (Whishaw) to help him seek out Madeleine Swann (Seydoux), the daughter of his old nemesis Mr White (Christensen), who may hold the clue to untangling the web of Spectre.

As the daughter of an assassin, she understands Bond in a way most others cannot. As Bond ventures towards the heart of Spectre, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz.

Spectre is set to be one of the biggest movies of the autumn and of 2015 as a whole. We are going to have to wait and see if this latest Bond movie can get close to that billion dollar mark.

Spectre is released 26th October.
