Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter

Daniel Radcliffe says he would be open to making an appearance in the rumoured Harry Potter spin-off film.

The Harry Potter franchise came to a close in 2011 with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, but another film is in the pipeline.

J.K. Rowling is set to write the script that is based on her book 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'.

And Radcliffe says it is something that he would consider should the studio talk to him about a role in the film.

Talking to Collider the actor said: "That's the version of it that I would be most interested in. By the time that comes into filming, I will have put quite a few years of work into putting that character away, so to put the costume on for any length of time would not necessarily be something I'm seeking.

But I like the idea of an intertwining storyline, like him passing in the night. That's kind of fun. I don't know if that would be the case, but I could maybe be talked into that."

Radcliffe has mixed and matched his roles since leaving Harry Potter behind, moving from theatre to TV and back to the big screen with The Woman in Black.

He is back this autumn with new film Kill Your Darlings: a movie that has already been lighting up the festival circuit.
