David Goyer has revealed that Warner Bros is in no rush to create a D.C. Comic universe to rival that of Marvel.

Goyer has been the story for The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, as well as penned the script for Batman Begins.

He has now moved into the Superman franchise, writing last year's blockbuster Man of Steel.

And while we are going to be introduced to new characters with Batman vs Superman, a big DC Comic universe does seem to be some way away.

Speaking to IGN, the writer said: "It's too early. I know that Warner Bros would love to make their universe more cohesive.

"There have been a lot of general conversations about that, but it's really, really early. I'm not sure.

"Marvel has had enormous success, but I'm not sure that everybody should try to emulate them either. It's just been vague conversations so far."

Batman vs Superman will see Henry Cavill reprise the role of Clark Kent, while Ben Affleck will take over the role of Batman from Christian Bale.

The movie will also introduce Jesse Eisenberg and Gal Gadot as Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman.

Zack Snyder will be back in the director's chair for the film, which will be released in 1016.
