Deadpool is already one of the most talked about movies of 2016 and is set to be one of the comic book films that is not to be missed next year.

Filming is well underway in Vancouver and sees Ryan Reynolds return to the central role of Wade Wilson - it has been a long wait to see this film finally go into production.

Now we have less than a year to wait before it hits the big screen and Reynolds has taken to Instagram to post a new image of himself during an action sequence.

Stuck the landing. With my mouth.

We have already been treated to a couple of Deadpool pictures so far this year but this is the first one that has hinted that the movie is going to be an action packed ride.

Deadpool sees Reynolds team up with filmmaker Tim Miller for the first time as this will mark the feature film debut for the director - a hell of a way to start you feature film career.

Reynolds leads an all star cast as Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, Gina Carano, and T.J. Miller are just some of the names that are on board.

Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool.

Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool is released 12th February 2016.
