Dwayne Johnson has revealed that he has met with Warner Bros regarding an upcoming superhero film.

Johnson has taken to Twitter to say that he is in discussion with the studio about an upcoming DC Comics project - however, he doesn't reveal which movie he will be appearing in.

He wrote: "We just had a big meeting w/ Warner Bros CEO re: @DCComics 2014 we will partner up and create the cool bad assery. #RockTalk (sic)"

Batman vs Superman is the big DC Comic project for Warner Bros, fuelling speculation that he is set to join the film.

Batman vs Superman is set to be the sequel to last summer's Man of Steel and will see Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck take on the roles of the two caped heroes.

Cavill will be returning to the role of Superman for the second time, while we will be introduced to Affleck's Batman for the first time with the film.

However, a villain is yet to be revealed for the film.

Johnson will be back on the big screen later this year with Hercules, as he teams up with director Brett Ratner.

He is also set to reprise the role of Hobbs in Fast & Furious 7, but filming has been halted after the death of Paul Walker.
