We were introduced to Olsen as Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron earlier this year and she is set to reprise that role in the third solo Captain America film, which hits the big screen next year.

However, when the Captain America and Iron Man teams were revealed, Scarlet Witch was the big character that was missing from the line up. The character finds herself in a tough emotional place at the end of Age of Ultron but looked like she had joined the Avengers.

Speaking to MTV, the actress gives us an update on what we may be able to expect from this character in the new movie. She said: "She's OK. She's doing alright. She's confused, she's conflicted.

"She's found some people she thinks she connects with, but she's doing alright. They released images of Team Cap and Team Iron Man. She wasn't there. She's always the wild card. I like being the wild card."

And Olsen reveals that she has also been working with movement coach Jennifer White to develop the movement of this character. She continued: "It's not a new hand technique per say. We're trying to grow her movement as a whole... Jenny and I have great pride in trying to make this a huge transformation - the next time we see her - of her abilities."

Civil War marks the return of Anthony and Joe Russo to the director's chair for their second Captain America film - they helmed The Winter Soldier to huge critical and commercial success in 2014. The duo are going to go on to direct Avengers: Infinity War.

Olsen is one of the new faces to join the Captain America franchise, as Robert Downey Jr, Paul Rudd, Jeremy Renner, and Paul Bettany are all on board for the first time.

The movie sees Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their roles as Black Widow, The Falcon and Winter Soldier to reunite with Chris Evans once again.

As for Olsen, we are also going to be seeing her star in new music biopic I Saw The Light, which chronicles the life and career of Hank Williams. Tom Hiddleston is set to take on the central role, while Olsen is on board as Williams' wife Audrey Mae Williams.

Captain America: Civil War is currently in post-production and is released 29th April 2016.
