Emile Hirsch has heaped praise on actress Penelope Cruz, saying that she is a 'wonderful person'.
Hirsch teamed up with the Oscar winner while they were working on new film Twice Born; he plays her love interest in the movie.
Hirsch admits that they got on incredibly well, and says that Cruz is as lovely as she is talented.
Speaking to Collider he said: "Well, she's an incredible talent, as an actress. As a human being, she's just a really sweet, caring, funny, quirky, wonderful person. And she's got an amazing sense of humour. She's got the charm.
"I feel like a lot of our best memories on set were when we were just laughing.
"We were hanging out and talking, and trading jokes and little peculiar observations. It was just a lot of fun. She's great!"
Twice Born sees Hirsch team up with director Sergio Castellitto, in a film that is based on the novel by Margaret Mazzantini.
Hirsch will also be back on the big screen in the new year as part of the great ensemble cast of Lone Survivor.
He is also set to begin work on the John Belushi biopic, in which he will take on the role of the actor.
