Warner Bros. Pictures have ramped up the promotional game for their upcoming magical flick Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald this week, dropping a brilliant first teaser trailer for the movie that promises a lot of action, drama, and chaos when the film makes its big screen debut. You can check out the teaser below:

Fans of the Fantastic Beasts franchise saw powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) captured at the end of the first film in the series, with the Magical Congress of the United States of America taking him into custody. Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) was the man responsible for helping the authorities bring Grindelwald to justice, but it looks like he’s followed through on his threat to escape.

Now gathering followers at a rapid pace, the magical world is truly unaware of Grindelwald’s true agenda – to raise pure-blood wizards up alongside him so that they can as one almighty powerful force rule over all non-magical beings.

This year, we’ll see Jude Law stepping into the role of a young Albus Dumbledore, who wastes no time in enlisting former student Scamander to take down Grindelwald all over again. With incredible dangers along the way, loyalties will be tested and love will be on the line, even within family and friends who would never even think about crossing one another.

Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech all also star in the film, which is directed by David Yates from a screenplay by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. Rowling also produces alongside David Heyman, Steve Kloves, and Lionel Wigram.

Depp being a part of the movie has come under scrutiny by a very vocal portion of fans, who say that the actor - accused of physical and emotional abuse by ex Amber Heard - should not be a part of the franchise any more. He has since however been defended by both Rowling and Yates, and will obviously continue to play the role of Grindelwald for as long as it is available.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald is set to come to cinemas across the UK on November 16, 2018.
