Ahead of the release of Fast & Furious 8 in UK cinemas this April, a brand new poster for the film featuring all of the leading cast has now been revealed, further cementing the split between the once-unbreakable ‘family’.

Charlize Theron’s mysterious new character can be seen alongside Vin Diesel’s Dom in the ‘F’ on the poster, separated from the rest of the Furious team. Seducing Dom back into a life of crime and betrayal of those he was once closest to, will Theron’s character succeed in splitting the ‘family’ forever?

Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell all also star, alongside newcomers Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren.

The official synopsis for the film reads: “Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game – and the rest of the crew has been exonerated – the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman seduces Dom into the world of crime he can’t seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

“From the shores of Cuba and the streets of New York City to the icy plains off the arctic Barents Sea, our elite force will crisscross the globe to stop an anarchist from unleashing chaos on the world’s stage… And to bring home the man who made them a family.”

As the follow-up to Fast & Furious 7 – one of the quickest movies to reach $1 billion in worldwide box office takings – Fast & Furious 8 has a tough road ahead, but one that it will likely be able to tread down with ease. As one of the most impressive franchises of the modern day, the series shows absolutely no signs of slowing down – excuse the pun.

Fast & Furious 8 comes to UK cinemas on Friday, April 12.
