We have already been treated to a great UK poster for Nerve this week... and now the first clip from the film has dropped.

Nerve

Nerve

Nerve is a big screen adaptation of the novel by Jeanne Ryan and sees Emma Roberts and Dave Franco take on the central roles of Vee and Ian.

And it is Roberts and Franco who take centre stage in this new clip... and they find themselves in a bit of an embarrassing situation. Take a look:

Nerve sees Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman back in the director's chair for their first feature film since Paranormal Activity 4 back in 2012.

Jessica Sharzer is also on board having turned Ryan's book into a screenplay. Sharzer is best known for her writing on TV series American Horror story.

A great cast has been assembled for Nerve as Roberts and Franco are joined by Juliette Lewis, Emily Meade, Samira Wiley, Miles Heizer, Machine Gun Kelly, and Kimiko Glenn.

Nerve follows industrious high school senior, Vee Delmonico (Roberts), who has had it with living life on the sidelines. When pressured by friends to join the popular online game Nerve, Vee decides to sign up for just one dare in what seems like harmless fun.

But as she finds herself caught up in the thrill of the adrenaline-fueled competition, the game begins to take a sinister turn with increasingly dangerous acts, leading her into a high-stakes finale that will determine her entire future.

Nerve is released 11th August.
