Gadot is set to join the DC Comic franchise next year as she takes over the role of Wonder Woman. However, the actress admits that we could have seen her in the franchise in a totally different role if she hadn't have been pregnant.

Speaking to Israeli website Xnet, the actress said: "When I was a month pregnant with (my daughter) Alma, I got an offer to be the evil Superman character. If I wasn't pregnant I'd take the job, and there's no way they would take me now to be Wonder Woman."

It is funny how it all works out as Gadot is set to be one of the big new additions to the franchise next year as she makes her debut as Wonder Woman alongside Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Warner Bros are starting to build their DC Comic World and Gadot is set to play a huge part in a series of movies. A solo film is in the pipeline for the actress and we also expect to see her in the Justice League movie that is on the horizon.

While Gadot is no stranger to the blockbuster, with the likes of Fast & Furious 5 and Fast & Furious 6 under her belt, this is set to be one of the biggest movies of her career. It is also going to be the first time that we have seen her tackle the superhero genre.

Gadot reprised the role of Gisele in Fast & Furious 7 earlier this year and has also completed work on Triple 9, and Criminal.

Triple 9 sees her team up with director John Hillcoat, while Kate Winslet, Aaron Paul, Woody Harrelson, Anthony Mackie, Casey Affleck and Chiwetel Ejiofor are just some of the other names on board.

Gadot is a star who is well and truly on the rise and she is set to see that star rocket in the next twelve months.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is released 25th March 2016.
