With Domhnall Gleeson starring as A.A. Milne and Margot Robbie as his wife Daphne, the film aims to give a rare insight into the relationship shared between Milne and his son Christopher Robin (Will Tilston), whose toys inspired the famous world of Winnie the Pooh.

When Milne’s book become an international phenomenon, he and his family including the nanny Olive (Kelly Macdonald) are swept up in the life that such success brings. As Winnie the Pooh and friends bring comfort to England following the First World War, the cost to the family that gave life to the characters could be something altogether different.

Stephen Campbell Moore, Alex Lawther, Richard McCabe, Nico Mirallegro, Geraldine Somerville and Phoebe Waller-Bridge also star in the film, with Simon Curtis serving as director, working on a script from Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Simon Vaughan. Damian Jones and Steve Christian serve as producers, with Curtis and Vaughan as executive producers.

Goodbye Christopher Robin hits cinemas across the UK on September 29.
