Dini was the co-creator of the popular female character and she is heading to the big screen next summer in the highly anticipated film Suicide Squad.

And while Dini was the co-creator of Harley Quinn, he says that he can't be too possessive about her as other people will interpret her in many different ways.

Speaking on the podcast Shanlian on Batman, Dini said: "I think Margot is very nice. She's a wonderful actress, certainly very attractive and very talented. I'm very excited to see that interpretation of Harley.

"That's the thing about the character. Yeah I created her, but on the other hand I know that she's other people's toys and I can't get too possessive over that."

Margot Robbie will take over the role of Quinn for the first time in Suicide Squad as she teams up with director David Ayer. While Ayer is no stranger to the director's chair with Fury and End of Watch under his belt, this is the first time that he has helmed a comic book film.

Suicide Squad is already one of the most talked about comic book movies of 2016 as the Suicide Squad is brought to the big screen for a solo film for the first time.

Robbie will take on the role of Quinn and is joined on the cast list by Will Smith, Jared Leto, Jai Courtney, Joel Kinnaman, and Viola Davis, who will take on the roles of Deadshot, the Joker, Captain Boomerang, Rick Flagg, and Amanda Waller.

We are also going to be seeing Ben Affleck make an appearance as Batman - we will be introduced to this character for the first time in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice - as Warner Bros continue to build their D.C. Comic movie world.

Suicide Squad is released 5th August 2016.
