Hugh Jackman is set to walk away from the role of Wolverine after seventeen years and has called his time with this character 'amazing'.

Jackman is set for a third solo Wolverine film, which will be his last outing as this much-loved character - a role that turned the Aussie actor into a global star.
Speaking to Jonathan Ross about leaving the role behind, the actor said: "One more. That's the last one... It's been 17 years, I can't believe it's been. It's amazing.
"With cameos it's already eight [films], it feels like a lot and I've loved it and I'm so excited about this last one I can't in my head think of anything else to do with the character but I know someone else will take over the role."
Jackman's final Wolverine movie will see him reunite with James Mangold, who steered The Wolverine to success back in 2013. Other than Jackman, it still has not been announced who else will be on the cast list. The movie is set for an early 2017 release.
Before we see Jackman back as Wolverine, he is set to return to the big screen in new sports biopic Eddie the Eagle. Directed by Dexter Fletcher, the film follows the story of Eddie Edwards, the first man to represent Great Britain in Olympics ski jumping in 1988.
Taron Egerton is set to play Eddie in the film while Jackson is on board as his trainer Bronson Peary. It is the first time that Jackman has worked with both Egerton and Fletcher. This is the third feature for Fletcher and comes after the success of Wild Bill and Sunshine on Leith.
Eddie The Eagle won over fans and critics during a surprise screening at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and is set to be one of the feel-good films of the spring.
Eddie the Eagle is released 28th March.
