Idris Elba

Idris Elba

Idris Elba is believed to be in talks to star Roundtable: King Arthur.

Roundtable: King Arthur is set to see Guy Ritchie return to the director's chair, and The Wrap has reported that there could be a reunion between the director and Elba.

Elba first worked with Ritchie back on RocknRolla, and is now being linked to the role of a knight in the new film.

It is believed that Elba is in talks to take on the role of Bedivere - the most trusted of Arthur's father's men who has a hand in training a young Arthur.

Elba is the first actor to be linked to a role in the film - which is due to hit the big screen in 2016.

We haven't seen Elba in a movie since Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, but he has completed work on No Good Deed, Second Coming, and The Gunman.

He is currently working on Beats of No Nation and will lend his voice to the character of Shere Khan in a new live version of The Jungle Book.

As for Ritchie, The Man from U.N.C.L.E.is currently in post-production, and Roundtable: King Arthur is set to be his next directing project.
