After ten weeks on the chart Inside Out remains at number five and, so far, has grossed £38 million in the UK alone.

That makes the Pete Docter directed film the most successful original Pixar film ever at the UK and the movie is now second only to Frozen in its box office success.

As if that is not enough, Inside Out is also enjoyed more days at number one at the UK box office than any other film so far this year. Inside Out has spent twenty eight days at number one in the UK and Ireland, surpassing Avengers: Age of Ultron's twenty one days.

Inside Out has been a critical and commercial smash ever since it was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year. The Oscar nominations are still a way off but Inside Out is already the heavy favourite to scoop the Best Animated Feature prize. It remains to be seen whether the film will feature in the Best Picture category.

So far, Inside Out has grossed in excess of $774 million at the global box office and is the fifth highest grossing movie of the year so far; behind Jurassic World, Fast & Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Minions.

It is also the second highest grossing animation movie of 2015, second only to fellow summer film Minions, which grossed over $1 billion earlier this month.

Inside Out is currently the third highest grossing Pixar movie of all time, behind Toy Story 3 and Finding Nemo.

The movie saw Docter return to the director's chair for the first time since the success of Up and he assembled a great voice cast that included Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, Mindy Kaling, and Diane Lane.

Inside Out can still be seen in UK cinemas.
